Day two of Aalmari Season 3 at Hyatt Regency Pune
With an overwhelming response on day one of Aalmari Season 3, the next day was again packed with an interesting workshop and a fashion show. Day two, March 18, started off with guests and others savoring the elaborate spread at Hyatt Regency Pune, Viman Nagar. With varied food choices in different cuisines, everyone seemed happy and energetic to kick-start the day. Let’s take a look at all the engaging events that filled the day.
Sweet little ones walk in style
Grooming paid off
The day could not have had an awesome start than this! March 18, at Hyatt Regency Pune, started off with the kids’ fashion show, post lunch. Afternoon was packed with enthusiastic little ones, looking adorable in the stunning kids’ wears.
The guests enjoyed watching the kids walk confidently on the ramp. These were the same kids, about 40 to 50 of them, who were groomed the previous day in the workshop by Vevek Pawar’s VIVZ Finishing School. A day prior, Pawar had groomed the kids to walk the ramp.
This is what Pawar had to say about the little participants, “Dealing with kids is a tough job. In the workshop, there were kids as young as three years of age. However, through the entire two-hour workshop they cooperated well. One cannot deny the fact that kids look cute anyways, so they will definitely rock the ramp. They are a bunch of talent.”
Adorning stylish wears
So, the kids were ready to set the ramp of fire. The makeup and hair was done. They looked sweet and stylish. And their smiles were ready to kill the onlookers.
The kids’ fashion show opened with Fairytales’ collection by Manasi Tambe. The kids’ clothes were well tailored and well designed. The showstopper, Grishma Makhija, Kajal Makhija’s daughter, looked pretty in a pink dress. Followed by this, kids showcased the collection from Toonz. The collection included both casuals as well as formal apparel. Each kid had his/her style of walk, slowly as they got comfortable on the ramp. They walked in twos or threes, in attires of all sorts.
Girls were seen sporting gowns, short dresses, tank tops, and more. Some of them wore a tiara; some flaunted their hair kept loose; while some others pulled their hair back in a high bun. The boys were seen in jeans, shirts, t-shirts, three-fourths, and more. The proud parents were beaming with joy. At the end, the lovely little showstopper in a golden dress and a side ponytail walked the ramp with Tanna.
Vinay Aranha of Rosary Group and Sukriti Dubey felicitated the kids with participation certificates at the end of the show.
Connecting with self
As the enthusiastic kids walked the ramp in the ballroom, at the same time, in another room, participants were learning to heal themselves. Yogmitra conducted angel healing workshop in the afternoon at Hyatt Regency Pune.
In an angel healing workshop, the participants basically connect with the angels and communicate with them and heal themselves with the help of these angels. It helps you deal with different issues be it relationship, finance, work, etc. Talking about the importance of any kind of healing technique in today’s stressful times, Yogmitra said, “Today, all the problems are happening because of non-acceptance of what is. In everyday life meditation is the answer to heal you. Meditation will help you go inwards, thus you naturally start healing yourself. Because you start accepting yourself as you are. Thus, acceptance is the key to healing yourself.”
A fashionable affair
The evening added more grace to the glamorous affair. The chief guest for the occasion was veteran actor Jeetendra Kapoor, who looked handsome as ever in a maroon blazer.
The night opened with Sobariko’s collection. It was a classic summer collection, in pastel shades and floral designs. The traditional Indian wear was given a contemporary twist. There were shararas and kurtis with dupattas, lehenga and choli, long kurtis and bottoms. The showstopper, model Shweta Raj, looked gorgeous in a green and purple contemporary saree.
Tasta Wedding House
The men looked royal in the Indian ethnic wears from Tasta Wedding House by Deepak Mane. Themed Midnight Blue’z, the collection included men’s wedding wear in vibrant blue and black.
The round opened with a female model sporting a formal suit with a bow, followed by the men walking fast in a group behind her. Soon their walk was complemented with a rapper on the ramp. The collection included formal suit, sherwani, dhoti pant and short kurti; some of them complemented with a dupatta and a headgear. Model Sameer Qureshi was the showstopper for Tasta Wedding House.
The fashion extravaganza was choreographed by Yashi Rana.
Continuing the theme of fantasy makeup, on day two, Rita Verma’s SMA International Makeup Academy put up an impressive show. The model, with face and body, painted in purple and glitter, and a shimmering netted artwork on the head, the look literally stunned everyone. How long it took for the makeup artist and her team to put this up? That must have been the only question running through everyone’s mind.
The last slot of the fashion night included the remarkable fashion designer Salim Asgarally. Going with his trademark style, his collection blended the richness of Indian fabric and colors with the classiness of Western drapes and cuts.
The collection primarily was themed on white, gold, black, and silver in combinations. There were short dresses with flowy sleeves and without sleeves, jumpsuits, and ballroom gowns. The off shoulder mermaid style gown on Sai Tamhankar stole the show. She, the showstopper looked ravishing in it.There were pearl-colored long gowns as well with either golden or silver work.
The day concluded with the felicitation of the designers by the curators of Aalmari Season 3– Kajal Makhija, Deepali Chordia, and Snehal Rudrawar. This was followed by a spread at dinner, that was once again varied and delicious.
The guests who were specially invited by Chanda Patil, Corina Manuel and Vidya Tiwari hovered around, chatting, connecting, clicking photographs. It was an atmosphere of sheer satisfaction and joy that prevailed…an excellent end to a fabulous evening.
